Haeger didn't see action because Torre doesn't like rookies. He should have put him in after Weaver, would have saved us at least a few arms in what basically amounted to a throw-away-game.

I can understand not allowing Haeger to see his first major league action in a close game against a division rival, but with an off day tomorrow it really would have given the bullpen a change to rest even more than usual.

That bullpen abuse continues. Why start Weaver instead of Haeger or McDonald in the first place, then pull Weaver after 3 when he's pitched well?

And Haeger looks like he might not even pitch tonight, and he'll most likely be sent down tomorrow.
